There is nothing better than putting a face to a name so here is our team that support 1st Bilsthorpe Scouts.
Scouts are the Third section of the Scouting family (aged 10½ to 14), and generally meet for two hours per week.
Scouts aims to build and develop young people’s confidence, sense of adventure and outdoor skills, as well as encouraging them to explore their beliefs and attitudes and be creative. It offers them the independence to put these skills into practice at camps and even on international trips.
Scouts are encouraged to work together and take the lead on all sorts of projects, from community based work to planning games and activities for their meetings.
The Scout Troop at Bilsthorpe is very popular with boys and girls from within the village and surrounding area. We meet on a Monday evening at the scout hut.
Scout Leader – Emma Tyson provided the Scouts with an Adventures & Challenging program to learn skills for life.
There are other adult volunteers that support our Scouts James, Johno & Sophie.
