BEST (Bilsthorpe Explorer Scout Team) is the forth section of the Scouting family aged 14 to 18, and generally meet for two hours per week with a programme that is created by young people working in partnership with adults and is a lot more relaxed to fit the age range (and exam periods!).
Explorers offers young people the freedom to try new things and work towards learning skills for life and completing their Duke of Edinburgh awards. They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer!
Explorers are encouraged to work together and take the lead on all sorts of projects, from community based work to planning games and activities for their meetings.
BEST is a new section opened in 2019 for both boys and girls from within the village and surrounding area. We meet on a Wednesday evening at the scout hut.
Explorers Leader provided the Explorers with an opportunity to work on new skills for life & a lot of laughter along the way.
